Welcome to the newest addition of Brightflower Nursery's website.  We now are able to sell our beautiful Peonies to enthusiasts all over the country!  Go to the "offerings" page and lookk at the online catalog.  Besides our Peonies we are eager to introduce out beautiful herb containers which are great for your patio or deck as well as your bright kitchen counter .  We also grow the most beautiful lettuce baskets which offer you fresh cut greens in spring and fall right outside your door.  This is the first year of our shopping cart so I am expecting a fun ride on the learning curve.  No problem in calling us or sending us an email with any questions regarding our Peonies.  As you Peony lovers all know our beloved Mother Nature will deturmine the opening day of each beautiful blossom.  Generally we start picking around Memorial Day to the first week of June.  The Peonies hold nicely in the cooler into July.  We are truly looking forward to helping you with your special event this summer.

We are busy collecting orders, seeding herbs and cut flowers, making cuttings of our favorite herbs and specialty annuals.  On a sunny day the greenhouse is sheer bliss.   The fragrance is devine, we can even see some little critters waking up; can't wait 'til the bees start buzzing.

As many of you already know, we are a wholesale operation open to the public.  Our garden center will be open "by chance" this year.  That means if you take a chance and drop by, chances are good we will be there to show you around and help with your purchases. But to be sure, just call ahead or send an email and make your plans.

We will be offering cooking classes this year; check  the "classes" page for dates, times, and subjects.  To be sure you get the class you want, schedule a group of four or more.  We don't hold classes unless we have at least four cooks in the kitchen.

Brightflower Nursery applied for a SARE Farmer Rancher Grant this past year and in late March we will find out if we get the funding to turn our existing gravel floored hoop house into an in-ground growing facility.  If we go forward with the grant, we will be growing greens in the fall and winter which will be available to local residents through a share program; local restaraunts; produce markets; and local institutions.  It is a trhrilling possibility for Brightflower Nursery to be offering a product year 'round.

Check back for class and product updates.  Be sure to stop by if you are in the area, we love visitors.
