Well spring is here and our greenhouse is filling up fast. Our lettuces, cabbages, kales, and greens all look and taste great. Tasting freshly picked herbs and greens is a simple pleasure for which I am grateful. All of our customers: wholesale and retail will be very pleased with our great selection and quality--we've outdone ourselves this year. Our wonderful staff has been working since early February potting, seeding, cleaning, and rearranging for the New Year. It is going to be a great one. We are on facebook now; log on and become a fan. Our current events are highlighted as well as pictures of our beautiful products.
The Peonies are popping out of the ground; we'll have Peonies for sale starting at the end of May through sometime in July. We pick our Peonies in the "marshmallow" stage and store them dry in our cooler. If you need some of our beautiful Peonies for your late spring or early summer event, just check out our online store.
Our partnership with Fairfield Flowers is stronger than ever. We will begin a new route in Northwestern Illinois with our beautiful flowers this year with stops including Freeport, Monroe, Galena, Platteville, Lena, and Stockton. If your favorite florist is near one of those cities, be sure to have them get in touch with us and we'll stop by. Or, if you are a floral designer or work in a flower shop and enjoy the freshest, highest quality, sustainably grown flowers, get in touch with us. Our deliveries include the surrounding areas of Milwaukee, Madison and now NW Illinois. We’d also be happy to give you some names of our customers who would love to rave about us.
The store is “open by chance and chances are good” that you will find me, Joan, Michael, or one of our other staff to help you with your purchase. We don’t have regular business hours since our wholesale business keeps us pretty busy, but someone is usually here either in the greenhouse or out planting in the flower fields. Just come on by to smell the fragrance and hear the bees buzzing around our wonderful herbs.
Cooking classes are filling up fast this year, get your friends together and book a Taste of Fine Dining class with Chef Michael. Guest chefs are in the works too; keep in touch with facebook for details.
